Lisa Williams, RNP - Nurse Practitioner
To get started with Barbara skincare, Lisa provided Barbara with various “SkinMedica’s TNS” skin care products to prepare her face for Fraxel Laser and Botox treatments. These anti aging serum products improve collagen and diminish brown spots. Once Barbara’s skin was ready, she had several of the Fraxel Laser treatments. These noninvasive, nonabrasive skin resurfacing treatments diminished brown spots, improved texture, healed her photo damaged skin and stimulated the collagen. Through this process, Barbara’s skin tightened and fine lines disappeared. Barbara then also received a course of laser hair reduction treatments for various places on her body.
Everyone is excited that The Beauty Show is going to video tape a Botox party for Barbara and a few of her friends. This will be a great opportunity for mutual support and fun. It will also allow Lisa to educate women on the use and safety of Botox. Lisa believes that with these treatments and better care for her skin Barbara will take 10 to 15 years off the age of her face. Being a skin care practitioner, Lisa understands that being pretty on the outside is but a reflection of the beauty within. But she has seen time and again that outer improvements do give women that little bit of needed encouragement to feel better about themselves inside and out.
Lisa Williams is a Scottsdale native and attended Arizona State University for both a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a degree from the W.P. Carey School of Business. She went on to achieve a master’s degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner. She utilizes state of the art procedures such as laser / light therapies to prevent and treat facial wrinkles, and other disorders related to aging, as well as problem skin. Lisa is committed to learning about the most current and effective treatments for patients, as well as ensuring that she continually participates in cosmetic dermatology research for the safest and most advanced use of laser treatments. Ms. Williams is also involved in many philanthropic endeavors.

Annie Niewenhous - Exercise – Nutrition at Macrotherapy
A few weeks ago, before surgery, Annie (of Macrotherapy) began nutrition consulting with Barbara. Annie provided a metabolic stress assessment so she could pin point the direct cause of metabolic imbalances contributing to Barbara’s weight gain, lethargy and other nutrition based complaints. Once Annie was able to identify the stressors she made recommendations for life style changes that would address these. Annie also tested Barbara to see what nutrients she needed. Like most women Barbara was on a low fat diet which did not allow her body to metabolize properly. Annie changed Barbara’s protein / fat ratio and made recommendation for eating the proper amounts of good fats. Barbara is writing down everything she is eating for the next couple of weeks.
As to exercise program, Annie reported that Barbara took very well to it because she had already been on an exercise regime. Barbara was taught how to use core muscles – the ones she wasn’t using properly. Annie enjoys working with Barbara and is looking forward to being able to resume the nutritional follow up and exercise program she’s begun with Barbara after a post surgical clearance from the Dr. Tamir Mosharrafa.

Stephanie Blaze - Hair Designer
During the Makeover for Barb the first thing Stephanie did with Barb was a color draping. This process allowed her to choose a hair color that would bring out a warm golden tone from Barb’s skin. Color was done prior to cutting including some highlights to give Barb’s curls a little more definition. The product Stephanie used was “Healing ColorCare” which utilizes the latest in hair technology to heal the hair and keep the color from fading. This eliminated dry spots and re-hydrated Barb’s hair giving it a healthy shine. In determining the best cut, Stephanie considered the characteristics of Barb’s face using different part lines. The goal was to equalize the forehead, cheek bones and chin. She decided to leave Barbs hair long in order to provide a vertical, downward pull to make the face look more narrow. To Stephanie, the next step in the process was the most essential. Since Barb has very wavy hair that can tend to fizz, it was important to teach her how to manage her hair and take advantage of the natural curl without the fizz. The cut also enabled Barb to have the option to blow dry it straight. This takes practice and is accomplished by using a combination of defining creams as well as blow dry and brushing techniques. Stephanie was very pleased with the makeover process for Barb’s hair.
Stephanie Blaze brings a full array of artistic experience to hair design. She has an art background in photography, sculpting, painting, water color, jewelry designing and makeup. She is currently the Art Director of Canyon Falls Salon in Scottsdale and is responsible for training the new staff. Her apprentices work closely with her for one full year, to achieve the advanced training Stephanie’s standards demand. Stephanie has produced two Hair Show competitions featured at Barcelona’s and Superior Salons in Scottsdale. Her philosophy is to evaluate the whole person’s image including personality characteristics that enable her to create of a hair style that compliments the unique individual.

Sally Hayes - Permanent - Makeup Artist
Happy to discuss the process Barbara is going through, Sally Hayes was pleased Barbara was chosen and felt she was an excellent candidate for permanent makeup. Before Barbara began her cosmetic surgeries Sally had the opportunity to apply the base coat to her eyebrows, lips, and eyeliner. The color was darker than Barbara had thought it would be, but Sally said this was normal and would fade. Once Barbara has healed from the other facial plastic surgeries she will go through the second application (with another 7 to 10 day adjustment period) to finalize the beautiful look of the permanent makeup. One of the impressive things Sally said in the interview was that very often permanent makeup improves the individuals self esteem. It certainly seems so in Barbara’s case. Sally is very pleased with Barbara’s response to the whole procedure and looking forward to completing the process.
Sally Hayes, Founder and President of Sally Hayes, Ltd. is the creator of the Sally Hayes Permanent Make-up Training Program. She has been “changing faces" since 1988. A frequent speaker for the Society of Plastic Surgery Skin Care Specialists, Ms. Hayes is acknowledged by the surgeons of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery as an expert in concepts, techniques and methodologies surrounding micropigmentation. “Hayes’ Permanent Make-Up” uses the strictest sanitation procedures and pigments specifically produced for the face. Sally’s commitment, as a specialist, is to provide her clients with the safest, easiest and most artistic application of permanent make-up, with the most natural result.
